Non-Executive Directors

Non-Executive Directors form the Board of UKNC and oversee the UK’s contribution to UNESCO’s global mission. They play an active role in representing the Commission at strategic meetings, events, and conferences, both in the UK and overseas.

Each Non-Executive Director is a specialist in one of UNESCO’s programme areas; Education, Science, Culture, and Communication & Information and their appointment is approved by the UK Government. The Board has a maximum of nine Non-Executive Directors at any one time.
