Devonshire Association to celebrate the county's UNESCO links throughout 2025

February 19th 2025

The Devonshire Association is to celebrate the county's links with UNESCO throughout the coming year, thanks to a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant of almost £40,000.

The programme of events and activities will feature visits and talks at Devon's UNESCO designated sites throughout the spring and summer months. In May, a 'President's Symposium' will take place, and towards the end of the year a major conference is planned. The UKNC has been supporting the Association in its planning and materials.

Devon is the county in England with the most UNESCO Designated Sites, and uniquely, these include at least one of each type of land-based designation.
