The 'Promoting Sustainable Development through UNESCO Programmes and Sites' project provided a unique platform for collaborative action, addressing environment and climate challenges locally, and contributing to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Including the Brighton and Lewes Downs (The Living Coast), and Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biospheres, 15 pilot sites from 15 countries in Europe and North America took part in this three-year initiative, under the partnership between UNESCO and the abrdn Charitable Foundation (aCF).
The UK sites involved were supported on this project by Matt Rabagliati, UKNC Head of Policy, Research and Communications.
