The focus of this residency was for the two selected young writers to explore the Alan Sillitoe collection and produce a creative written response. The competitive opportunity was made available to members of the Nottingham City of Literature Youth Board and the Speak Easy Collective.
Aside from the residency, the Nottingham City of Literature Youth Advisory Board hosted their first event of the year, 'Switch Off' (a phone-free creative event blending creativity, reflection and creative writing) and Speak Easy, the City of Literature's youth led collective, held their first Open Mic of the year.
