World Quantum Day (14 April) and International Year of Quantum Science and Technology 2025 celebrated in the UK with events

April 9th 2025

Next Monday (14 April) will see World Quantum Day celebrated across the globe, including in the UK. This year's Quantum Day is a particularly significant as 2025 is International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ), recognising 100 years since the initial development of quantum mechanics.

Those in London on 14 April can join quantum researchers to learn about the latest advances in quantum engineering, science and technology and how they are being used to improve our lives. This free celebration is a collaboration with Imperial College's Quantum Centre for Engineering, Science and Technology (QuEST) and the London Centre for Nanotechnology.
