Corporate Giving - Partnerships and Trusts

What does UNESCO in the UK mean to your organisation?

It is probably one of our Designated Sites across the UK; perhaps the ancient majesty of the Stonehenge, Avebury and Associated Sites UNESCO World Heritage site? The poetry of Norwich, UNESCO City of Literature? Or the waves crashing against the cliffs of Shetland's UNESCO Global Geopark?

These places tell Britain's story: its landscapes, peoples, innovations, and traditions. But they also carry our hopes for the future.

We do not own these places; they belong to local communities, charities and associations, societies and institutions across the UK. But we work alongside them, and bring them together, to encourage community action, strengthen local leadership, and amplify their power to engage, educate and inspire.

The impact of your partnership with the UK National Commission

We rely on statutory funding for day-to-day activities, but welcome support from like-minded businesses and organisations.

We operate a ‘Partnership‘ programme for companies and organisations who would be interested in working with us. Current and previous Partners include L’Oreal, British Academy, Henkel, Praxis and Creative PEC among others.

All partnership proposals to the UK National Commission go through a due diligence process to ensure that organisations and companies we partner with align to the aims and beliefs of UNESCO.

Corporate giving to consider

  • A percentage of your company profits / lump-sum - we would discuss and agree how your donation would be spent, and what levels of recognition we could give you.
  • Funding of a specific initiative or programme - we operate programmes and projects relating to education, climate change, culture, women & girls' education, and science amoung others.
  • Staff time and expertise - could you provide free professional services such as marketing, legal, or consultancy advice?

Please note we are a non-profit organisation but not a charity. Our company details are:

  • Full Name: United Kingdom National Commission for UNESCO
  • Private Company Ltd by Guarantee Number: 05966672
  • Registered Address: Suite 98, 3 Whitehall Court, London, SW1A 2EL

Do you have any questions about partnerships or corporate giving?
