L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science UK & Ireland Rising Talents 2024 Announced

The recipients of the L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science UK & Ireland Rising Talents 2024 have been announced.

The L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science UK & Ireland Rising Talent Programme offers awards to promote, enhance and encourage the contribution of women pursuing their scientific research careers in the UK or Ireland.

This year’s recipients were announced at a ceremony at the Houses of Parliament on 18 March, attended by pioneering women scientists and former alumnae of the programme.

The L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science UK & Ireland Rising Talents 2024 are:

Engineering – Dr Sara Keller, University of Oxford

Life Sciences – Dr Océane Seudre, Queen Mary University of London

Mathematics and Computing – Dr Giulia Laura Celora, University College London

Physical Sciences – Dr Ann Njeri, Newcastle University

Sustainable Development – Dr Reem Swidah, University of Manchester
